The restoration of architectural works results in the preservation of our shared heritage. We strongly believe in the importance of restoring our historic buildings and we have been working “pro bono” in preserving Costa Rican architectural jewels. Among these are the first public school for girls, Colegio de Señoritas, and the oldest schools in our country, the Colegio San Luis Gonzaga and the Liceo de Costa Rica. OPB Arquitectos has been working very closely with the national heritage agency (Oficina de Patrimonio), a subdivision of our Ministry of Culture, in order to keep the architecture of these buildings as close to the original as possible. We at OPB Arquitectos believe that the restoration of private and public architectural works is a way for younger generations to learn and understand our history.
